Clontarf Foundation

Out and About

Date Posted : 26 October 2018

On 26 October, I was pleased to attend the Clontarf Foundation lunch with NSW Treasurer, Hon Dominic Perrottet MP.

The Clontarf Foundation is a charitable, not-for-profit organisation which exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.

Since opening its first Academy for 25 boys in 2000, the Foundation has grown to cater for over 6,500 boys in 97 schools across Western Australia, Northern Territory, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.

The CEO Gerard Neesham is doing an outstanding job, and it was great to hear from Clontarf’s Alumni on how they’re successfully improving the education and employment prospects for young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.
