On 22 November, I was delighted to officially open the new facilities at Giant Steps Melbourne in Kew, a wonderful school supporting students with autism. Students will now benefit from new classrooms and student amenities.
It was great to see the new facilities first‐hand. The new learning spaces take into account the individual needs of students with autism and the latest in educational research, enabling students to learn more effectively.
Giant Steps Melbourne is the only school in Victoria that provides an interdisciplinary approach by using speech, music and occupational therapy into the curriculum. The intensive educational and therapeutic program ensures that each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
