On October 2-4, I visited drought-affected Inverell in New South Wales. I was pleased to join the Hon David Littleproud MP and Barnaby Joyce, Federal Member for New England, in Inverell to listen to the community’s stories about the devastating impact the drought is having. We discussed how the Government can continue to help families and businesses through this challenging period.
The harshness of the drought hit home when we saw the dry paddocks when we met two farming families from Inverell. These families have been on the land for more than 100 years and have seen nothing like the devastation occurring now.
During my time in Inverell, I visited Boss Engineering, an Australian manufacturing company and met with staff. Boss formed just over a decade ago and employs around 100 people. They mak4ehigh-quality equipment for the agricultural sector.
